What to expect

They are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Architect with Profiling Expertise to join their team within AAD. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing the performance and drive the profiling of complex embedded software on a multi-core processor with integrated CPU's, GPUs and various hardware accelerators. The successful candidate will work closely with their development team and their partners to ensure that software profiling and optimization plans meet project requirements and standards.

What you'll need

In this fantastic opportunity, you will be tasked with understanding the behaviour of complex embedded software on multi-core processors. You will Develop and implement software profiling strategies to optimize performance and resource usage. You will collaborate with Test & Development teams to identify, assess & implement tooling for profiling & measurement of software solution. You will collaborate with development teams and our partners to identify bottlenecks and ensure software profiling and optimisation plans meet project requirements.

Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Define logical architecture for profiling & measurement of software solution, contribute to overall end to end architecture to ensure efficient & robust design to meet required KPI's (key performance indicators), stay up to date with industry trends related to the role as well as participating in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, skills & experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in multi-core embedded software development, optimization, performance & stability.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-core processor architectures with integrated CPU's, GPUs and hardware accelerators.
  • Significant experience with software profiling tools and methodologies.
