Job Description

The Senior Support Analyst provides desk side technical support to the infrastructure. The role involves providing up to level 3 support for all desktop hardware, operating systems, antivirus and application software. You will be responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the Global teams with a specific focus on the Infrastructure & Shared Services teams.

The role requires excellence in customer service skills, ensuring that the day to day needs of the business are met in a timely manner. The role also requires knowledge across a range of IS areas with a focus on a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of corporate IT standards for Hardware & Software, at a local level.
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot PC's, printers and peripherals ensuring standard image is loaded and ensure anti-virus is loaded on all desktops and servers and patch levels are up to date on all systems.
  • Responsible for liaising with Manufacturing on desk side systems to ensure IT standards are maintained on these systems.
  • Purchasing, installation and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Perform maintenance tasks on other IT equipment to instructions provided by the relevant IT global teams.
  • Work on approved Global IS Projects, or other requests as defined by IS Leadership.
  • Looks for ways to continually challenge and to improve processes from lessons learned, bench marking etc.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Computer Information Systems, or equivalent preferred.
  • Qualification/Certification in IT Technologies e.g. Microsoft or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience required
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control.
  • Experience with IT systems in a manufacturing environment is required.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate with large groups of people.
  • Must be able to review printed materials.
  • Must be able to communicate telephonically.
  • Ability to use common office equipment.
