Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Product Owner for our client who is a market-leading smart grid technology and services company based in Limerick. Our client is building world-class solutions (both hardware and software) to make the world greener. Countries using their services increase their ability to utilise renewable energy sources effectively. Enabling renewable energy and optimising energy utilisation are core to our client's vision. They have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to build a platform to support their current systems and provide a framework to meet future business needs. The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Software Product Owner to work with their existing Product Owners, in a dream team environment, to deliver innovative and industry-leading products. The ideal candidate would have experience in the UI and UX fields and have previously delivered web portals.

You will identify user needs, help stakeholders understand the business value and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases. This role is ideal for some with an entrepreneurial mindset and real-world experience distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global commercial services partners and customers to co-develop a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement.
  • Turn data insights into products with actionable outcomes for the ultimate customer.
  • Develop, own, and execute product roadmaps.
  • Work in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, define priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks.
  • Act as an ambassador for the product both internally and externally.
  • Keep up with agile/scrum best practices and trends.


Job requirements/Desired knowledge or certification:

  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and process
  • Active listening
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • 5+ years in Product Development


Desirable:

  • Some Energy industry experience
  • Experience and understanding of Cloud-Based Systems
  • Experience in the Electricity Sector / Industrial control
  • Demonstrable skills in understanding complex ecosystems.
  • Experience of Scrum@Scale
