SENIOR APPLICATIONS ARCHITECT
Our client a leading information technology solutions organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Applications Architect to join their team and support their end clients based in the South of Dublin
Senior Applications Architect KEY Responsibilities:
- Build Technical Understanding of Complex Application Landscape
- Technical Lead for Remote Application
- Engage with Customers technical teams to support Incident Resolution and Delivery of CRs.
- Governance of the Applications Support and Development function processes and tools.
- Manage customer requirements and produce project proposals.
- Assess the technical impact of proposed projects across the customer estate.
- Assess the effort of proposed projects and work with suppliers and our clients teams to develop technical implementation plans for delivery.
- Produce and/or validate solution designs.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Create change specifications for project delivery tasks.
- Participate in the change management board and act as change authority for our client
- Provide a technical point of escalation for delivery teams.
- Troubleshooting & technical assessment for incident and project issue resolution.
- Participate and advise in problem resolution processes.
- Provide final Technical Quality Assurance and Service Readiness on application changes
- Higher degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
Senior Applications Architect Requirements:
- Strong experience of application architecture, and software development management
- Knowledge of Java Application Development
- Java Development Knowledge
- Minimum of 8 years of related work experience in software architecture, development and support.
- Expertise in the design, development and deployment of enterprise-level N-tier architecture in a Microsoft .NET Framework or Java Enterprise Edition platform
- Knowledge of testing processes and tools
- Excellent knowledge of software and application design
- Ability to design and build configurable and customizable enterprise architectures
- Good understanding of application lifecycle management
