Salary: €450 - €500 per day depending on experience (Negotiable)
Contract Type: Initial 12 Month Contract

SCRUM MASTER

Our client a global technology giant is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join their team based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare

Scum Master Key Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and coach team for continuous improvements towards consistent delivery of working software each Sprint
  • Develop a strong understanding of the technical and business environment for the project and combine this understanding with Scrum Master experience to quickly remove impediments and blockers, increase velocity and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with and support, provide assistance, and mentor other SMs and teams based on previous experiences to help deliver the overall project goals
  • Foster continuous improvement and self-organization in the team.
  • Develop strong relationships with other development and infrastructure teams directly and indirectly involved.
  • Coordinate Sprint ceremonies - Release Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo and Retrospectives
  • Work with Product Owner to develop, groom and prioritize the backlog; ensuring a healthy product backlog
  • Collaborate between Product owners and the Development team.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple Agile and non-Agile teams to deliver large initiatives
  • Maintain Sprint artifacts and metrics including; velocity/progress and team performance, issues and risks, and handle communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Scum Master Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, with min 7-10 years' experience in software development including proven Program/Project Management and Scrum master experience in a technical environment preferably Java based projects.
  • A solid understanding of Agile and Agile transformation with the right attitude and personality to continue to improve through coaching and teamwork
  • Ability to work with and build new Agile teams as well as strengthen existing Agile teams.
  • Experience working in a large-scale Agile projects
  • Conversant in Jira, Kanban, Continuous Integration and other Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, and team empowerment
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
  • Excellent project management skills to ensure that efforts track to delivery and that stakeholders are kept up to date on status and changes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive multi-tasking and prioritization skills needed and can excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), MS Project and collaboration tools like Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Scrum Master Certification, Certified Scrum Professional is preferred
