Company Overview:
Our client is a prominent global IT services provider headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. They offer a wide range of IT services and solutions to clients across various industries, including consulting, system integration, IT outsourcing, and cloud services.

The Role:
The Project Manager will be responsible to manage delivery of a complex Core accounting projects, across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage full life cycle of project management (planning, documentation, scheduling and financial tracking)
  • Drive the delivery of IT solutions to agreed scope, cost and timeline - the role of the Project Manager is to oversee and track progress, to ensure the delivery project is setup for success - the actual day-to-day delivery of the change project itself is the responsibility of the individual areas themselves (there may be some exceptions to this - i.e. a more hands-on delivery focus.
  • Organise and document weekly project meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define/Refresh the delivery roadmap for the Project, agreeing the stakeholders.
  • Primary contact for any escalation for project related matters.
  • Clear and consistent communication on task and project status.
  • Focus on lesson learnt and review & improve the process on-going basis.
  • Adhere to best practices and standards in project execution.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in the management and delivery of a complex Projects within budget and specified timeframes (Preferably within the Financial services industry)
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly Adaptable and can influence key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Quality focused with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a drive and commitment towards project delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform project tasks effectively, while managing time and priorities
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong knowledge of software development cycle
  • Experience of engagement with and management of 3rd parties

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience
  • Educated to Degree level, or if not suitable relevant experience to demonstrate competency.
  • PMP certified or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a financial services or banking environment an advantage.
