My client provides specialist services for the healthcare, biomedical and scientific sectors. They commission, service and provide full maintenance of high-end, lifesaving biomedical equipment.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Engineer to join their team. The medical engineers team commission, repair, maintain and support a wide range of biomedical equipment situated within hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical and other scientific environments.

Salary: €40K - €50K depending on experience, company car, pension and benefits.

Role: Medical Engineer, full time, permanent position.

Location: Munster / Leinster based

Job Description:
*Provide technical support, repair, installation and commissioning of leading brands of high-end medical equipment.
*Perform routine maintenance on medical equipment as per manufacturers guidelines.
*Have experience working with and developing good relationships with clients within hospitals, laboratories and other scientific sectors, such as clinical engineers, medical staff and managers.
*Have very good technical and diagnostic skills, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
*Follow equipment maintenance schedules, documentation and reporting.
*Attend regular scheduled training, both manufacturer and inhouse training, and implement all manufacturer's guidelines regarding the maintenance, repair and commissioning of medical equipment.
*Have good experience in document preparation and issuing certificates
*Have a very good understanding and experience in working with and adhering to ISO standards
*Accurately maintain and update all necessary documentation / records and provide daily updates.

Your Experience:
*2 years plus experience in a similar role.
*Degree in Biomedical Engineering or relevant engineering degree. National Certificates such as City & Guilds Certifications, manufacturers training.
*Have very good interpersonal and communications skills.
*Must have a full, clean, driving licence
*Position is subject to a full background check and Garda vetting.
