Logistics Planner - Dublin

My client, a global Pharmaceutical company based in North Dublin are looking to hire a business critical Planner for their logistics operations - with a key function coordinating all activities required for the safe and efficient movement of materials off site.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping

  • Co-ordinate all activities and documentation for the shipment of API and samples.
  • Customer Service - Deliver customer requirements by working cross-functionally (with Customer Planning, Warehouse, Quality and Finance teams) to ensure that orders are consistently shipped to meet target dates
  • Preparation, provision and storage of all shipping documents including invoicing, quality and hazardous for transportation documents.
  • Co-ordination and scheduling of Freight Forwarding activities, including checking and approval of associated documentation and invoicing
  • Process each customer order in SAP to generate delivery documents, shipping lists, warehouse transfer orders
  • To actively manage and optimise services provided by freight companies.
  • Provide freight forwarders with rolling forecast of shipments
  • Create any Credits/Debits as required.


Customs Compliance

  • Review SAD's for all export materials.
  • Manage Freight forwarders and Customs agents to ensure compliance
  • Prepare documentation requirements associated with the role e.g. packing specifications, SOP's, Change Controls and Trackwise events etc


Key Experience/Education

  • Experience in pharmaceutical / hazardous material handling, packaging and shipping
  • Knowledge of documentation re hazardous (DGSA)
  • Working knowledge of PC packages such as Excel & Word
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • DGSA qualified, SAP and Excel experience preferable
  • Knowledge / qualification in IATA regulations
  • Customs Compliance Training
