Inventory Control Senior Analyst

Accountabilities

  • Identifies part numbers and prepares forms for transactions
  • Ensures inventory accuracy and identify inconsistencies
  • Interacts with vendors to manage inventory of parts and supplies
  • Establishes, monitors and improves processes for controlling and accurately reporting inventory
  • Determines demand consumption rates and translates to purchasing materials
  • Manages supply chain for materials to ensure production plans are met
  • Provides weekly communication updating the respective LOB on the performance of the commodities, trends and financial analysis
  • Performs trend analysis on inventory management and communicates and drives resolution to any issues affecting inventory performance Provides proactive communication for material issues to management and customers
  • Completes and presents financial impact analysis Ensures material planning supports peripheral system RTS

Responsibilities

  • Independently works on inventory tracking and monitoring.
  • Acts as a team member on specific inventory control projects.
  • Increased scope - within one LOB.
  • Review daily inventory reports from Oracle system and 3rd party logistics (3PL) partners; identify variances between both data sets; conduct analysis to root cause the source of these discrepancies
  • Proactively communicates on delayed reports/data sets, or issues affecting ability to conduct daily work effectively
  • Maintain an up to date action log of root cause steps with IT and 3PLs
  • Use good judgement and initiative to prioritise and trouble-shoot discrepancies effectively; develop and enhance a set of work instructions as knowledge is built
  • Submit recommended actions to clear variances, to an agreed SLA
  • Conduct trend analysis identifying major issues and their root causes
  • Establish effective working relationships with multiple business partners, holding them accountable to resolve open issues and provide timely updates
  • These roles will be office-based, supporting EMEA working hours

Essential Requirements

  • Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced multinational environment, interacting with multiple business partners
  • Analytical approach; able to perform queries on multiple applications, identify trends and anomalies with data and draw accurate conclusions
  • Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel spreadsheet preparation and analysis
  • Sense of urgency; understanding of business environment & need to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates ability to handle scenarios where data or instructions are incomplete
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of fluency in English

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Experience with the Oracle, SAP or other ERP system
  • Experience of warehousing, fulfilment and logistics operations
  • Experience with project management
