My client provides specialist services for the healthcare, biomedical and scientific sectors. They commission, service and provide full maintenance of high-end, lifesaving biomedical equipment.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Biomedical Engineer to join their growing and progressive company. This position will offer the successful Biomedical Engineer an opportunity to build on their own experience and to grow and further develop their career within the biomedical field.

The Biomedical Engineer will join their Acute Services Engineers team. The Acute Service Engineers commission, repair, maintain and support a wide range of biomedical equipment situated within hospitals, medical clinics and other medical settings.

Salary: €45K - €55K depending on experience, company car, pension and benefits.

Role: Biomedical Engineer, full time, permanent position.

Location: Located anywhere within Munster / South Leinster region with travel throughout Ireland.

Job Description:
*Provide technical support, repair, installation and commissioning of leading brands of high-end medical equipment in hospitals, such as ventilation & respiratory equipment, patient monitoring, medical imaging, cardiac diagnostic equipment, dialysis machines, positive pressure devices, contrast media injectors, enteral feeding, medical diagnostics and more. Full time back up is provided by qualified manufacturer product specialists, service managers and acute service engineers.
*Develop good relationships with our clients' staff, clinical engineers, service managers and other managers.
*Plan, coordinate and carry out preventative maintenance schedules on specialised medical equipment, maintaining downtime to a minimum.
*Perform routine maintenance on medical equipment as per manufacturers guidelines.
*Replace PCB boards, update the software and diagnose faults through software record logs.
*Prepare documentation and issue certificates.
*Work with and adhere to relevant ISO standards.
*Accurately maintain and update all necessary documentation / records and provide daily updates.
*Study, update and learn about new equipment, complete manufacturers training and inhouse training.
*Be available for specific manufacturers training, able to travel for training and keen to learn about new medical / scientific products.
*Be available to travel throughout Ireland as needed with some overnight stays.

Your Experience:
*3 years plus experience in a field based Biomedical Engineer, Electrical or other relevant role.
*Degree in Biomedical Engineering or relevant engineering, electrical, electronic degree.
*Have very good interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal. Be confident to communicate with customers / clients' staff and management at all levels.
*Have very good experience with mechanical and electrical fault finding, diagnostic skills and problem solving.
*Have very good computer skills.
*Must have a full, clean, driving licence.
*Position is subject to a full background check and Garda vetting.
