My client is a growing Irish software company working within the insurance sector, offering efficient, intuitive and innovative solutions. They are looking for an experience Technical Support Engineer to join their growing team in their South County Dublin site.

You will be responsible for driving continuous service improvement and development to robust Incident management processes that will help to effectively manage customers from an Incident and Problem perspective.

Role Description

  • Ensure a responsive service by taking the lead in incident resolution.
  • Resolve system messaging issues.
  • Perform post incident reviews.
  • Maintain a set of metrics and reporting to demonstrate the operational performance of the Incident & Problem Management processes.

Skills Required

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of constructing SQL queries including competency with Microsoft SQL Management Studio
  • Knowledge of IIS.
  • A logical and systematic approach to problem resolution across a broad spectrum of technologies.
  • Practical knowledge of the Windows desktop / server environments

The Ideal Candidate will have

  • Minimum 2 years' experience.
  • Well-developed analytical skills, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate technical information in a non-technical language to users.
  • Be able to pick up and interpret technical information quickly.
  • ITIL experience is a bonus but not essential.
