Senior Solution Architect / Lead Applications Architect
Our client a leading information technology solutions organisation is looking for Lead Applications Architect to join their team to deliver App Support and oversee the delivery of multiple CRs and projects for their client based in South Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Technical Understanding of Complex Application Landscape
- Technical Lead for Remote Application
- Engage with Customers technical teams to support Incident Resolution and Delivery of CRs.
- Governance of the Applications Support and Development function processes and tools.
- Manage customer requirements and produce project proposals.
- Assess the technical impact of proposed projects across the customer estate.
- Assess the effort of proposed projects and work with suppliers and internal teams to develop technical implementation plans for delivery.
- Produce and/or validate solution designs.
- Create change specifications for project delivery tasks.
- Participate in the change management board and act as change authority for our client.
- Provide a technical point of escalation for delivery teams.
- Troubleshooting & technical assessment for incident and project issue resolution.
- Participate and advise in problem resolution processes.
- Provide final Technical Quality Assurance and Service Readiness on application changes.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Demonstrably operates as the overall infrastructure CSA for large, complex solutions.
- Regularly has large, complex designs, incorporating trade-offs from the original specification, accepted by the relevant business approval review, without any requirement for design changes.
- Authors design and test documents for large, complex infrastructures, whose risk and cost elements are accepted by the overall CSA or PM.
- Can evidence regular contributions to customer forums, conferences and professional bodies.
- Using company prescribed methodologies, can demonstrate a contribution to the definition of customer overall IT architecture, including new solutions of significant size and complexity and which contain solution components from contributing specialists.
- Regular contribution to, and user of, company knowledge repositories and events.
Skills Essential:
- Senior Architect Applications - There is no hands Software Development. However, the role requires strong experience of application architecture, and software development management
- Strong knowledge of Java Application Development
- Strong Java Development Knowledge
