Programme Planner

My client, a Northern Ireland based organisation is currently seeking a Programme Planner to assist with the creation and updating of resource loaded project programmes and the co-ordination of project management activities as directed by the Programme Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the creation of project programmes from the Client to produce fully resourced programmes within the timescales specified.
  • Hold regular reviews with the Construction / Project Managers and Access Planners within their assigned area to monitor job deliverables against plan, circulating work-to-do lists and actions or recovery plans as required, and to provide 'look ahead' information.
  • Assist with the production of medium- and long-term resource plans for the forecasting of resource requirements, secured and anticipated workloads.
  • Provide the client with updated programmes and information and support the creation of management reports as directed by the Framework Manager and their Project Managers.
  • Production of appropriate plans that meet specified timescales and formats.
  • To help promote more widespread use of adapted planning software to maximise plan creation utilisation and share best practice within the company.
  • To assist the Access Planner where appropriate ensuring that possession applications are processed/cancelled correctly in a timely manner in liaison with all parties involved.
  • Liaison with Project Managers internally and external PM's and Planners where our programme is to be merged with that of a Principal Contractor or Subcontractor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ideally minimum of 3 years' experience of project planning within an engineering environment.
  • In depth knowledge of project planning software applications, principally Primavera P6/P3/P3e, or SureTrak, MSProject.
