Process Engineer

Process Engineer required to join a leading biopharma company in the South East on a permanent basis.

The Process Engineer will work in the Technical Services department as a technical leader providing support to technology transfers and Commercial Operations at the Facility.

  • Technical services build upon the body of manufacturing process knowledge as part of the technical development of new products or the augmentation of the current processes within the commercial life cycle management.
  • Technical services owns the technology transfer and process development for new drug products at clinical and commercial phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Development for clinical products from R&D to commercial manufacturing, for established commercial products Line to Line transfers and from new process & technology improvements
  • Supporting and leading the process elements of Technology Transfers
  • Providing technical leadership & critical analysis of process knowledge during process development & investigations
  • Provide technical leadership for complex process improvement projects
  • Developing strategies for process development / characterisation
  • The primary objective is to ensure manufacturing processes are capable, compliant & in control as part of Technology Transfers or commercial life cycle project implementation

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree in Chemical / Process / mechanical Engineering or Biotechnology/Biological sciences or equivalent (Preferred MSc in Engineering/Science).
  • At least 3 + years in a cGMP manufacturing environment with specific knowledge of key unit operations including sterile filling & lyophilisation operations.
