NOC Engineer

Our client is an IT Security Solutions provider, who specialise in securing businesses from Cyber Threats, is looking for a NOC Engineer to join their team based in West Dublin.

The NOC Engineer will be responsible for providing support to our client's end clients. They will be expected to respond to incidents notified by monitoring or assigned to them by our clients.

NOC Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Monitors overall performance of network.
  • Coordinates acceptance of new sites and network elements on the network.
  • Drive resolution of high-severity faults
  • Further develop process and procedures within the NOC.
  • Continuously improve and develop systems to proactively monitor the infrastructure we manage.
  • Manage the troubleshooting of major issues with NOC monitoring tools.
  • Coordinate efforts to identify root cause and recommend solutions.

NOC Engineer Experience / Skills:

  • 5+ years proven experience actively working with CISCO Networks.
  • Must have good knowledge of OSI layers, TCP/IP, BGP, IPv6, Routing & Switching.
  • CCMA OR CCIE qualified is a bonus.
  • DevOps experience is not required but would be advantageous.
  • Experience in Security Management is essential.
  • Must have own transport and full driver's license.
  • Team Lead / Managerial experience is a bonus.
  • Able to effectively communicate with both external customers and internal teams.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to triage and manage time effectively.
  • Good working within a team and solo work.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must have full working rights in Ireland i.e. a current Stamp 4 Visa or an EU Passport to be eligible to work in Ireland to be considered for the role.
