Maintenance Lead - Carlow

Job Summary

My client, a Global Pharmaceutical company based in Carlow, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join their team as part of a recent successful expansion. With over 350 highly skilled and passionate employees, this position will play a pivotal role to maintaining safety and standards across the site. The successful candidate will be required to step in and take ownership for designated maintenance organisation and others as required. The main responsibility for this role is leading the maintenance teams, process equipment and all activities affecting them. It will also be responsible for providing leadership, cross functional development and technical expertise to maintenance and administrative personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership activities including selection, development, coaching and day to day management. Ensure that the team receives appropriate resources and programmes to develop technical and other skills, to complete their jobs whilst stimulating personal growth and development in line with role.
  • Manage production and maintenance related schedule adherence, tasks and resources for designated maintenance organisation and cross functionally; partner with colleagues to perform vendor management, communications, training, project work, audit/inspection duties etc.; thereby ensuring department is audit/inspection ready.
  • Oversee maintenance related schedules, tasks and resources. Cross functionally; partner with colleagues and third parties, to perform troubleshooting, vendor management, communications, training, project work, audit/inspection duties.
  • Oversee maintenance of process equipment, ensuring ongoing preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting and repairs to ensure continuous, reliable and repeatable operation of all equipment specifically in their suite. Ensure effective management and equipment shutdown scheduling, ensuring resources are available, thereby minimizing downtown.
  • Responsible for overseeing maintenance planning and preventative maintenance through completion of planned response work orders, calibrations, PMs etc. Ensure all site documentation of maintenance work, including upgrades, made to existing equipment, including preventative maintenance performed and parts used, to ensure appropriate documentation and records of repair history.
  • Ensure equipment reliability and performance by facilitating effective systems for identification of root cause failures, recommendations and implementation of improvement changes throughout processes, ensuring calibrations of equipment are performed as necessary.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or higher preferred; ideally in a Science, Engineering or other Technical
  • Discipline or equivalent experience.



Skills/ Experience

  • Develop and maintain training programmes.
