Junior Developer - Security

The development team is experiencing organic growth at the moment with the need for additional developer to join the team. With future expansion anticipated this is ideal time to get in and grow with the company as creates bigger foothold in Ireland.

This position is for a developer with the ability to develop and maintain security solutions using modern software development technologies. We are looking for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in software development, preferably in a web development (either front or back end) role.

The candidate should be proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Ruby, Javascript or Python. Knowledge of multiple languages is a bonus.

Technical

  • Ruby, Javascript, HTML, CSS
  • Knowledge of Angular and HTML5
  • Use of Linux OS, and familiarity with the command line
  • Use of AWS cloud computing technologies, especially EC2
  • DevOps tools, especially using Chef for automating configuration
  • Secure programming techniques
  • Interest in web application security, risk analytics and threat intelligence is a bonus.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Computing or equivalent degree with strong focus on software development is preferred. Candidates with less formal education may also be considered if they have additional relevant experience.

Additionally, we may take into consideration the following when making a decision:

  • Public websites designed/developed by the candidate
  • Contributions to open source projects
  • Source code hosted on github or similar
  • Account on stackoverflow or similar
  • Other internet presence (blog etc.) relevant to software development
