Overview:
The IT Infrastructure Administrator supports the design, installation, administration, and ongoing maintenance of the IT infrastructure platforms. Provides technical guidance to project teams and staff in evaluating infrastructure suitability, capabilities, and options. Participates in the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of software and/or hardware platforms to ensure infrastructure performance and availability. Investigates emerging methods and technologies as requested to support IT infrastructure development planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Builds effective and trusting working relationships with all business and IT partners in areas of responsibility and collaboration.
  • Develops knowledge of business processes, industry trends, and IT systems to better communicate IT capabilities and support IT solutions and architecture development.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and other technical staff to effectively implement and integrate new technologies and applications
  • Proactively identifies project risks and issues; helps determine necessary escalation, mitigation, and resolution steps.
  • Regularly communicates deliverable status, concerns, and issues to direct supervisor and the Project Manager.
  • Assists in estimating project cost and time requirements, assessing capabilities and support/resource requirements in area of responsibility.
  • Creates, reviews, and updates required documentation for changes and projects as assigned in accordance with IT Methodology.
  • Performs modification and installation of systems as assigned.
  • Ensures IT quality, legal, and regulatory compliance through adherence to quality control standards in all activities.
  • Regularly communicates individual task status, open issues, and challenges to impacted stakeholders and/or direct manager.
  • Monitors and addresses assigned issues and changes to ensure timely resolution; updates stakeholders regularly on progress.
  • Performs administration of technology platforms as assigned to maintain effective operation and consistent availability.
  • Supports the continuous enhancement of systems and services to improve IT effectiveness and system performance.

  • Computer system administration (Linux, Windows)
  • Network traffic monitoring
  • Backup management and data recovery
  • Virtual machines administration (VMware)
  • First level incident management and troubleshooting
  • Incident coordination
  • Knowledge of IT services, processes, and operating models
  • Systems architecture
  • Networking and collaboration
  • System lifecycle management
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.



The candidate must have a valid visa to work in Ireland.
