The Role

We are looking for a customer-focused and enthusiastic IoT developer with a genuine interest and passion about technology, IoT, analytics and user experience to work as part of a team in this exciting area.

The applicant should be technically competent, possess excellent written and face to face communication skills and be willing to collaborate with the wider Global IT support teams.

You will be supporting a customer who sets high standards for themselves and expects the same standards from their IT support provider. The role involves working in a team who are an internal IoT capability group with ownership for gateway/sensor onboarding, provisioning (Operating System) and lifecycle manageability. They provide support to many internal projects and customers.

Job Description

  • Daily use of the Python and Linux shell.
  • Commit to development with Agile "Scrum" deployment cycles
  • Attend & participate in all support meetings & ceremonies as required
  • A self-starter with ability to work equally autonomously & as part of a team.
  • Respond to support queries/ tickets within agreed SLA's
  • Daily use of the customer's standard toolsets for software development, Agile and support.
  • Attend internal customer meetings as required to provide code/ application updates.
  • Role is 8x5 with some flexibility is required for US timezone crossover.


  • Software development knowledge using the Python and Linux shell.
  • A self-starter with ability to work equally autonomously & as part of a team
  • Linux embedded development
  • Linux system administration
  • Customer orientation, provision of operational support
  • The ideal candidate will have min 2+ year(s) development experience within a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated application of best practices for software development.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills

  • System integration experience
  • Internet of Things knowledge
  • Experience of Agile code deployment preferable
