Facilities Supervisor (Soft Services)

A Facilities Supervisor is required to join a leading biotechnology manufacturing company. This position offers an impressive and unique opportunity for interested candidates. This role will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager, Project Engineers and Facilities Maintenance Department in day to day running of the site services. The role will involve but shall not be confined to the following duties:

  • Develop a best in class safety program for all the on-site services and providers
  • Engagement on the CMMS system to manage activities and any escalations
  • Implementing programs that address new activities and maintaining status quo across:
  • Cleaning management and execution across a large site
  • Waste stream operations and management across multiple streams
  • Food services and food hygiene ownership and contract management
  • Landscaping oversight and vendor management


Shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervises employees or outside contractors/vendors to maintain various services on site
  • Performs and leads audits of vendor deliverables and KPI's on a regular basis
  • Awareness of and expectation for high standards and best in class services
  • Awareness of legislative requirements across all waste streams and emissions licensing
  • Determines root cause of service or contract failures and facilitates corrective actions
  • Assigns tasks, reviews work and writes appraisals across the Facilities services function
  • Participates in conjunction with the Facility Manager, the development, implementation and periodic review of maintenance strategies and departmental objectives
  • Develops and maintains team skills/knowledge in safety, quality, shared values and technology to support department objectives
  • Assists in implementation of SOPs, policies, plans, and programs
  • Manages documentation and drawings to support waste management program
  • Follows current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs)


  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in an FM role or an integrated FM role within a large company profile, at a supervisory or management level
  • A 3rd level qualification in related disciplines (Building Services OR Facilities management) or IFM qualification is desirable
  • Previous experience in the management of a large custodial contract and to include general cleaning requirements and management of all waste streams will be advantageous
  • Further demonstrated experience in the management of related soft services including landscaping/grounds maintenance and catering management will be required
