SK Biotek are currently seeking to recruit a Commercial Accountant for their operation in Swords, north county Dublin.

Reporting to the Finance Director, The Commercial Accountant Finance will be responsible for financial assessment of new business opportunities at the Swords site with new and existing customers.

This will include, but will not be limited to;


o Making recommendations to the site senior leadership team, local and above site marketing team on business opportunities which give the greatest return on investment. These assessments will be performed in collaboration with marketing, MS&T, Operations and Quality functions.
o Partake in negotiations, in conjunction with the marketing and procurement teams, with customers on price and contract terms and conditions.
o Collaborate with Legal Associate to ensure contracts contain the appropriate financial information.
o Having SME level knowledge of the site cost base which will enable continuous improvement of the cost allocation model for new business assessment.
o Development of all customer quotes for Swords including site related expense / above site expense / new site expense for both capital and expense items
o Reconciliation of quote versus actual cost incurred
o Provision of monthly financial metrics for Swords commercial activity (sales / margin / volume / utilisation / yield/ cycletime / marketing expense)
o Commercial contract reviewer for financial related commercial activities
o Provision of SOX related requirements to ensure commercial contract provisions compliance
o Business risk lead for Swords commercial activity
o Management of supplier / customer solvency annual review
o Costing of new business opportunities.


Essential:


o Qualified Accountant
o 5 years post qualified experience
o SAP experience desirable
o Must be able to demonstrate commercial acumen
o Must be able to communicate effectively and to influence those in senior managerial positions to make the informed strategic decisions.
o Develops strong, effective work relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
o Builds and maintains a network of key individuals necessary for obtaining and disseminating information critical to the operation of Swords commercial activity
o Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the execution of job responsibilities.
o Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
o Assesses business risk and provides alternative solutions and contingency plans to ensure that financial commitments are met.
o Maintains strict internal controls on the operations as per corporate policies and legal requirements.
o Strong administration and organisational skills
o Strong IT skills
